The Swordsman’s Companion was my first book, published by Chivalry Bookshelf in 2004.
Be advised that as a training manual, is largely superceded by the forthcoming Mastering the Art of Arms: the Medieval Longsword, which came out in July 2014. But the advice on training, choosing opponents, and the spirit in which you should approach your practice is as valid today as it was a decade ago.
I edited a second edition in 2013, which is available in paperback, kindle, pdf and epub. Note that if you have bought the paperback from amazon, you can also get the Kindle version free through their Matchup program. I think that if you buy the book in one format, you should be able to read it in whatever other format you like; the only caveat being whether it costs money to make and distribute.
You can get the book in pdf, kindle and epub here:
And you can even find it in the iBooks store:
This book currently has a 4.6 stars average rating out of 22 reviews on Amazon. Check them out!
This is also the only one of my books to date that has been published in a foreign language, in this case, German. See it here. No, that is NOT me on the cover!!
